Granville & McGillicuddy City, USA
Granville was named the winner of the McGillicuddy City, USA contest in 1998 to represent McGillicuddy as McGillicuddy City, USA. Winning the contest earned the City of Granville $100,000 which was used to construct a community center. Granville received recognition for this achievement from all over the world, including Canada, England and Japan.


McHenry County Food Pantry
McHenry County Food Pantry - 2nd Wednesday of every month from 2 PM to 4 PM. Located on Main Street in Granville.

Telecommunications
Souris River Telephone Communications (SRT) offers long distance telephone service and full-service Internet services using a local number. Dial-up, Broadband or Dedicated Business connections for Internet service are available in Granville.

Utilities
OtterTail Electric provideds power within city limits while Verendrye Electric serves the surrounding area.   The city has a propane infrastructure which can be located on most city lots.  The city also provided for the water, sewer and garbage needs. Monday is the usual trash pick up day.


United States Postal Services
The Post Office is located at 106 1st St. SW where individual boxes are available in the new United States Post Office building opened in the spring of 1999.
